I have this spa and I want to put a heavy extention lead into the power board on the spa as a temporary hookup untill I get somone to install it properly.

the rating is low enough for a lead and I have a safety switch.

heres a pic of the imput,

any help would be appreciated.

Make sure your using a 15 amp outlet, and running a temp lead should fine.

Is that input 33amps or 3.3 amps... I cant read it :P

What are you not sure off? Also is there a rating plate somewhere? How many amps does it say it draws?

I cant see an earthing point... I can see the two points going to what looks like a metal water pipe.

what I want to do is cut off the plug on an extention lead and put the 3 wires in the correct holes.

I think I will have to wait for a sparky as this one seems a bit different to the last one.

the old spa had a clearly marked 3 imput module with a diagram on how to, this one has 4 imputs.

There's talk of a jumper on those side labels....I'm guessing leave the top one and then they are (in order from 2nd top to bottom) active, neutral, earth.

I bags not getting in first though!

Don't listen to Felix....he wouldn't know what a green and yellow wire represents :stupid:

To true Tab!!!

And to think they are letting me wire up a school! I just put $40,000 of lightening protection in, lots of green and yellow wires, lets hope they are right! All metal buildings up here.

As long as the input current isnt more the 10 amps, you can use a heavy duty lead, active - red/brown neutral - black/blue and there should be somewhere for earth to go, either a screw clamp or something like that. The pic is a little unclear, but that last screw in the terminal block should be the earth. just cant see what lines up with what very well.

dont touch electrical or plumbing in any house situation, unless your licenced. there the two no-go areas of any home handymen, your not insured if your house burns down, or if somebody gets electricuted, yeah I know we all are quite capable, but its like pointing an empty shotgun at somebody, you just dont do it.

its like a $10,000 fine for changing a washer in a tap now days.

not worth the risk.
