Well today my ute gets it first custom tun.

I've had it new since Feb 04 and lately it feels as fast as a 3 legged donkey.

Mods are K&N, CAI (F6 style), injectors and maybe a wog cooler if it's in stock.

Anything over stock will be nice, as I said, it's a 3 legged donkey struck down with the flu at the moment!

Fingers crossed

Have you cleaned the boost solenoid lately, it can make a big difference if things are starting to feel a bit sluggish - the custom tune will make a HUGE difference and if it needs cleaning your tuner will probably do it

Well the tuner got a 267.9 rwkw.

But he had heaps of trouble with valve fluttter and a very restrictive cat. The valves were as bad as he has seen on an 04 model. The cat was restricting the boost as it went through the revs, but it diddn't matter any way because of the valves!

I was going to replace the cooler but his advice was to get the cat and valves done first.

He lowered the tune to 255 kw, and it feels strong and breaks trackson in first. That never happend in the dry so I'm still happy

Valve springs, Cat and intercooler next to come!!

Got to be happy with that! Each time I read one of these kind of posts I just dont think I can hold out much longer on not modding my ute.

Have fun!
