MrBean Member 400 Member For: 18y 11m 9d Location: Melbourne Posted 14/01/10 09:51 PM Author Share Posted 14/01/10 09:51 PM Thanx Mate, appreciated I will anyway be finishing off on the cupholder->mouse this weekend, and it should be painted early next week. Can hardly wait, as it looks good in the UTE.Then, I will also start making a new "bezel" for the existing color TFT LCD which handles the HVAC/Radio display, it will be relocated to below the existing ICC.I need to integrate it proper, so it won't detract from the final appearance - should look very good after it's finished though. Of course, the ideal is to overlaythe factory data on my new 8.4" LCD - I know there's an overlay control function, but I'm sure it won't allow to that level of detail - I will email Digitalview, who is themanufacturer of the ALR-1400 controller I'm using to drive the NEC 8.4" panel, and see if that will be possible - I guess then the real hard work starts! Will keep you guys posted. MrBean Member 400 Member For: 18y 11m 9d Location: Melbourne Posted 14/02/10 01:12 AM Author Share Posted 14/02/10 01:12 AM Hello Guys, stumbled upon this lovely case by PcBricks in the USA.It is very expensive, but exactly what I need to make my system passive-cooled, as I have all the heatpipes already but struggled to find a sufficiently designed case to whisk the heat away from the components.I have contacted the Supplier, and Stephen replied that they would ship it wo Australia - thank you for your top-service, Mate!Real nice, if you ask me :flowers:So, once I get that, I will relocate the Zotac 9300 WiFi from the Minibox 350 case, and proceed to passively cool the setup. I have a feeling the PcBrick case will be a bolt-in replacement for the 350 mini. There's a 6-8 day delay before shipping, as there seems to be made-to-order, and a slight back-log.....but no worries, it will be here soon enough. Will do a review once it lands, and show some nice high-res pics.Have a good one ya'll. Originally, you had a converter card from the mac pro to the screen. Did that connect to the ICC or a aftermarket screen and what cable did you use as I cant find one!!!! I still have both the cable and the converter, as well as an ArcadeVGA PCI-E card - both were using the standard Ford display.I made the cable myself.....Nowadays I'm running a custom 8.4" transflective though......see few posts back.... The converter I have is the one with the RCA/Compostie/RGB outputs which was the first one I think you had with the mac mini. MrBean Member 400 Member For: 18y 11m 9d Location: Melbourne Posted 31/03/10 10:13 PM Author Share Posted 31/03/10 10:13 PM Yep, that card works, just make the cable - and if I recall correctly, you did not need any software when using that converter. Just search this forum, I think there was a wiring-schematic up in one of these carputer projects..... Seriously.I just wanto run the Centrafuse through the ICC for Mps is all, and being a computer tech it is just a little project, but soldering nd wiring is another issue. But as long as I can find a diagram, I'll be fine. Thanks for that. Ill keep you posted. If you happen to come accross one, let me know. I know I have seen one for VGA to ICC, bit I am assuming I should lok for the RGB to ICC?
