@ Adam: Hehe - not likely - my UTE is a year and 3 months old, and only 5k on the clock - so virtually brand new :)

Plus, I have a few ideas for the rear suspension, and a lot more power from the engine, so hopefully she will be with me for much longer.

@ Tab: Thanx Mate....

@ Senna: ah, you make me blush :) It's all fairly simple, as most of the developement was done by an Italian guy, who did this for his BMW carputer.

I just ordered the components, and did my own, but based on his ideas. I will be developing a better version though, and design a RF Receiver from the ground up, based on the Max1473 receiver, which should make this much more affordable, I hope.

@ Fordboy: Considering Jax asking $699- for just the 3rd EYE setup, I guess the $400- I will be asking for the complete setup as above is not to horrendous - if you wanted just the 3rd EYE with stock LCD display, it will be around $310-.

But, it's best guys contact me via PM, once I have this going full-steam I will chat to the powers-to-be to become something like a dealer/site-sponsor or however it works, just to make things legal and so I can advertise.

But, for now the PM system would work fine, especially if only a few guys want this - which I would do anyway, as I cannot believe very few cars have this absolute must in terms of safety.

Being able to have it work via the carputer is just a nice to have, and for the geeks out there.

Guess I am a geek then :(

Hello Guys,

Just a quick feedback on the TPMS system - I had the pressure transducers fitted, and trained the RF Receiver to the sensors......and guess what?

It's alive - yeay.

Attached is screenshot of the testprogram the software developer wrote, to wel...err...test the communication, and sensor data.

Looking pretty good, sensor 1 = LF, 2=RF, 3=RR, 4=LR and 5=Spare. Temperatures, as well as pressures are spot-on, there's a little bug in the software incorrectly detecting sensor 3's battery status, as the original display shows that as full.

Well, we're making good progress here, another guy on Fluxmedia is developing the plugin for CentraFuse, and there is an existing plugin for RoadRunner. This is an excellent musthave for your car, and the way I have now made my unit is to display on the old, original LCD, as well as sending data to the carputer via the USB interface- for comparison.

Of course, both methods can be used simultaneously, and permanently, if so desired.

I am off to Finland till next Sunday (17th Feb), but will provide more feedback then on progress. I will be departing Friday afternoon.

Let me know what you guys think.

Kind regards,

MrBean

Not really.

It will have a much bigger screen than that.

That also only has the crappy LCD screen down the bottom, not the color screen used here.

:oohwoah:

That thing looks bloody hideous :spoton:

Mr Bean - impressive yet again. You should really run your tyres at the same pressure though! :nono:
