I have booked it in for repair at Knox Ford. Apparently is a known problem.IIRC - there was a post some time ago but I could not find it Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/3848-faulty-window-switch/ Share on other sites

Ask them to put an XR8/Fairmont one in (with the in built lights). It was worth the problem to get the replacement.. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/3848-faulty-window-switch/#findComment-29450 Share on other sites

Guest Hydro Guests Posted 19/06/03 03:02 AM Share Posted 19/06/03 03:02 AM Had mine replace for the same problem and asked for the Fairmont switch block but was told I couldn’t have it (even offered to pay the difference) . Got in the car to drive home from the service and low and behold, lights in my window switches. Best problem I’ve ever had. Oh well, off to the dealer I go. When you guys say that you can get a Fairmont switch (illuminated) to fix the problem, is it only the drivers side or all of the switches? I hope they replace all. So if they put a Fairmont one in at least one out of four will light up at night.
