So reading on this forum somewhere I read that the icc can be hooked directly into a aftermarket head unit as an aux connection.. Has anyone attempted this? And I guess this would mean that the Headunit could be wired up with an amp and upgraded speakers and that the icc would play better?? Audio isn't a strong point as you may gather haha

Hi all, new to the site, new to owning a blue badge. I have just purchased an '09 manual fg xr6t. All standard and has the standard stereo system.

It sounds stupid but the sound and speakers change quality/sound with gear changes! It seems the front drivers speakers only work in 1st 3rd and 5th but work fine in 2,4,6, weird huh.

Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem as nothing in the car has been altered,

cheers

Hi guys, does anyone know if ipod can be upgraded on BF model, to show and work off icc like fg?

Something I'm curious about as well. Also, is the iPod cable anything special? I'm unsure what cable is needed to connect an iPod up to the premium ICC on a BAII. I thought about just heading into an audio place, but if it is just an iPod USB connection I can do it myself....if I can get to it.

You can't connect an iThing to a factory BA stereo by any other means than the headphone port and an aux input, which would obviously only give you audio and no track info

FG had a proprietary plug, FGII uses your normal USB lead/plug.

Okay then, cheers.

I've seen guys add a DVD HU and have it utilise the Premium ICC for playback (along with headrest screens), so does anybody know if playing info (such as song title) would display on the premium ICC screen in that way. I don't want extra [motorised] screens popping up from the DVD HU, but might consider a slot fed DVD HU if it can be set up in such a way as to receive and display this info from the secondary HU.

Here's a stupid question that no one can give me a straight answer on

When replacing the factory amp on a premium ba setup do I need to get a line level converter?
