Are you taking the piss? Ply and screws?

hey genius, its behind the number plate and bumper out of sight, what you cant see on the car doesnt friggin matter.

no, have you got a better / quicker way of straightening a bumper without replacing the whole bloody thing.

Theres no Set way to fix something such as this on the cheap, tradies improvise all the time, if you were one I guess you'd have some idea. Its what I do after all, like to think I have some idea.

ply and liquid nails / clamping would probably be a better option, or any kind of flat object just to straighten it prior to applying the fillers.

I agree with seventytwo and sixfan, besides, you can't register your car in NSW without a greenslip, or Compulsory Third Party Insurance....

3rd party, and compulsory third party are two different things. I didnt complain about using counterfeit money, read the post again.

was the car registered? if it was registered then she has compulsory third party, which has nothing to do with damage to other vehicles, only damage to 3rd party persons - if you cripple someboey.

Wes,

You must have a bigger heart than most people.

If my car was hit by someone, it is their fault and THEY must make it good. Why should I bodgy up my car with bog and a pressure pack ?

I would never mess around with anyone who has damaged my car. I deal only with the insurance company. I do not care if it is a MILF, granny or some poor kid who got his car the day before.

You have a responsibility by driving a car. You should have 3rd party property insurance, if you do not, then you payup if you cause damage.

My $60k+ car will never be patched up with substandard repairs even if it is not visable. I think you are being a bit blind with consideration of the "poor mum with kids".

Anyways, the OP has settled with the mum, so as long as he is happy, it is all good I guess.

You also need to take a step back on some of your posts Wes the guys round here like to take the piss and have a bit of a laugh but if you bite they'll bite back until eventually someone will step across the boundaries of sensibility and we'll BITE.....

And the old whinny line of "But he started it" dont cut it.

theres nothing bodgy about it if you take your time, theres nothing bodgy about it full stop, if the repair will stand the test of time (and it will) then its good.

Brand new cars have bog all over them from factory. If it was a ding on the right guard, clearly visible, that's a different story, but where it is, I dont think I'd worry even if my car was worth 60k.

as for the finish on any ford or Expensive Daewoo new from factory, there a sh*tty paint finish anyway, if you all hadnt noticed, the work from your spray pak or panel beater would end up better if done properly.

Don't you paint houses? Forgive my ignorance but I thought that was a bit different to panel beating.

Seriously who feeds you this crap? Or do you just make it up as you go along?

Liquid nails, ply wood and screws do not belong on car repairs, and for you to suggest otherwise is just absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully anyone looking to repair their car doesn't read your posts and assume you know what you're talking about. :spoton:
