I know there are a few of us that have changed our minds so I thought it would be a good time to review the colour preferences again. Couldn't get all the colours applicable on though...

Anyway, I've gone from Mercury Silver, Narooma Blue, Blueprint, to now Phantom! Phantom is likely to be the choice as that's the one that the wife wants.

Since I bought one I *really* should remain faithful. Just wish black didn't get dirty so easy. Someone needs to develop a "no friction" clear finish so that the dirt just doesn't stick.

Of course if it was no friction it wouldn't stick to the car either.... Back to the drawing board.

Not true - it could be adhesive on one side and no friction on the other. Think of the reduced drag coefficient! :D

Sticking with my Mercury Silver.

I was tempted for a while by Blueprint... But it just doesn't quite do it for me in the flesh.

Mercury Silver XR Ute with Sports Bar = CHUBBIE :geek:

Yeah, l am happy with Phantom and wouldnt change if l had the option.

Some of the new colours such as orange and lime green may prove in the long term to be more faddish than Phantom/Blueprint but l guess time will tell.

Phantom hasnt proved to be too hard to keep clean, its bright enough that when covered in a thin dust film it doesnt look dull.

I still like the Phantom - due in part to a previous attachment to a colour called wild violet. In many ways this revival typr colour clinched the deal for me. It originally drew me to the XR6 at the dealers, when I was not actively looking for a new car.

But, I have helped my son spray his first car, a 626 RWD in Joyfull Red - Japanese for Orange. Great colour. Loved it. So Blood Orange has my attention. But not my vote.

As an aside, my son now wants to spray his next car - a '90 Laser 1.8 S, a dark irridescent blue. Looks like I'll be on the wet and dry again.

Just read this over at ff. Would be interesting to see the new green..

The Falcon will see Citric Acid in Jan, Blood Orange in Feb and Guess what: Congo Green will be discontinued and replaced by Harvest Green. (similar to Hothouse but alot more metallic) and also Lightening strikes (a Horn silver). The hero cars will even have more options for us now.
