As title states was driving on highway and my splash tray ripped off and bye bye on the M4. one of the clips must have come lose??

Anyway apart from the engine bay getting dirty is there any real need for it? Any idea on how much for a replacement or if anyone has one lying around??

Cheers

Aidan

I'd get a new one if I were you, it protects the bottom half of everything in your engine bay, also stops your front bar from lifting as its all connected

  • Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel.

It also helps to direct air through the cooler and radiator, instead of escaping under the car.

Increases down forces at the front as well.

When I had the 600 wide intercooler on the water temps would go up a little without the splash guard.

Another good reason to have it on is it helps to secure the bumper... without it there's not much holding it on

I just about lost the back end of my car the other day - wound the car up over a little rise - and the bugger launched like a rocket - wheelspin in the air and landed with a bit of a bang - it was fun though!
