Well today I opened up the bonnet to put some water in the windscreen thingy. I notice some pink stuff coming out of this thing below.

Should I be concern? Its not leaking... its dry. I took my ute for a spin and trashed it to see if it would leak, but nothing changed.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance Dorko :spoton:

I hope it isn`t tranny fluid mixing with your coolant as this is a known problem and a reason why some people bypass the radiator for their tranny cooler.

Check your overflow bottle you coolant should be green.

You can get red coolant, but I have always seen Ford use green coolant. Could be a different case if someone else has done the servicing, just hope your radiator hasn't sh*t a brick and coolant mixing with tranny fluid

The green ford coolant turns a pinking white colour when it leaks out and dries up.

If its just the o-ring that goes around the thermostat just go to ford and get another one. 2 bolts to undo, top it up with a little coolant and presto you're done. Just make sure you don't do it while the engine is hot. :tonguepoke:
