Strange one today on the way home from work.

I used to have a ton of flutter and as I have an air filter to atmo on the bov there was heaps of blow off through gear changes.

Coming home tonight there's NO flutter at all, sounds like a bit of boost leak on the left side where the bov is, and guage shows about 2psi less boost now at WOT. Lost quite a few kw as well.

Checked the plumbing and everything seems ok. I'll take the crossover off in the morning just in case it's under there, I may even try removing the bov altogether to isolate that as well.

The bov vacuum line looks fine, as does the guage line and T piece.

I'm hoping it's not a loose intake manifold? Car just back from service as well, hmm.

Any ideas anyone?

posibably f*cked the stock BOV? as they can handle so much.

the spring inside mabye be jammed or siezed.

like you said try remove the bov all together and see how you go.

if geting no flutter at all could could be a boost leak somewhere.

just check all intercooler hoses and throttle body and make sure everythnig tight.

even try putting the stock BOV back on and see if its boost has come back

goodluck

if it had been to ford they definatly never replace the xover properly.

I would say for sure its the xover loose or folded over underneath.

An IC pipe has come off/loose... search around and find where the leak is, it will be easy to spot

And how right you were! Pulled the crossover off and checked EVERYTHING, it was only when I looked down into the throttle body I saw the inner rubber on the TB side was folder underneath.

They were good enough to replace the 3 broken crossover rubbers, hmm I better check to see if they charged me for those, but failed to replace the crossover back properly.

Thanks for that.....I'm still laughing.

Think I'll have a chat to them on Monday.
