the Boss 290 does not use knock sensors, so it will gain no performance by using 98 octane fuel, just possibly better mileage. the BA XR6T is tuned to run on 92 octane fuel but recommend 95 octane for better performance.

Pretty fair comparison of stock cars.

this was not posted to start the V8 Vs 6 war, it was to show some facts, which seem be lacking sometimes in these threads :lookaround:

Good post Mick, the V8 does have 290kw vs. 240kw so that dyno chart shows the truth. The onnly thing the chart doesn't show is the difference in gearing, which is why the T's are generally quicker on the street, not to mention the wider torque band.
