truongski Member 129 Member For: 17y 11m 12d Gender: Male Location: Brisbane Posted 13/09/07 11:33 AM Share Posted 13/09/07 11:33 AM my temp needle normally sits just under half way. about the 1/3 of the way under normal operating conditions. when I turn the car on within about 5 mins of a spirited drive, the temp need is just over halfway and as soon as the car is on, the fans are on. after about 2-5 mins of normal driving the temp goes back to the normal range.my car is completely stock and I am just assuming is the thermo-syphoning going on when I switch it off. I'm not to fazed though cause my coolant isn't green anymore.do you guys reckon changing the thermo to a lower temp for a stock car?cheers. The temp guage now sits a little higher than it used to, so they obviously put a different ("hotter") thermo in it (which I don't particularly like). The fans haven't come on yet and the guage isnt all over the place - so I guess that is good sign. I'll be keeping a very close eye on it over the coming days...somthing just doesn't feel right to me...
