Hey im just upgrading my ba mk2 ute and I cant decide on what to do first heres a few options any opinions etc will be of great help to my final decision as every hour I change it!

1.Valve Springs

Mal Wood Op3 Clutch

2.Injector/Fuel Pump install

P/W Stage 2 IC and K&N CAI

Custom Tune

3. Tripod and 3 Cobalt Gauges

20" Wheels

Suspension Lowering

in which order would you do it? I already have a 3 1/2 inch Xforce system with 4 inch dump and 3 1/2 inch cat and just a generice tune.. I dont get my license back til november so im just running a generic tune at the moment and I work away so the car gets driven about 300kms in 7 weeks..

the clutch will be on its way out as im pretty sure it slipped a couple of times but I didnt drive it enought to find out for sure and the tyres will need to be replaced eventually so that's why im going to upgrade to 20s.. any feedback will be much appreciated.. oh and im hopefully chasing 300 - 340rwkw.. cheers

nath

I would say go the injectors custom tune and the clutch.

if you can squeeze valve springs in get then too.

this will keep u happy and will mate well with the zorst u already have.

then later go the cooler and wheels.

you will be sewing spending all your moolah on go fast and have your clutch say no way.

or do 2 stages on the car.

save up and get cooler pump injectors valve springs custom tune and clutch.

then later on get the wheels and guages and lowering.

better to only get one custom tune rather than 2 or 3.

The smartest mods to do first are injectors intercooler. You ALWAYS want to avoid detonation and leaning out, without doing these as a minimum you risk damaging the motor

where abouts did you get your exhaust from?

EDIT: oh yea, I'd get a clutch as the stocker will slip, and injectors and tune.

that is some good advice from rap1d too, monza is cheap insurance.

Save your money for longer and get it all at once. Its cost me a small fortune doing it in stages, if I had my time again I would have just gone for a full set up like Nizpro, APS, Process West or Plazmaman.

With the amount I have spent in stages and then upgrading, I could have bought a Typhoon.

I agree if you want to save money save up and do it all at once, but its good to do it in stages to get used to the extra power. that's why I've been doing mine in stages.

cheers for your opinions.. im going to order all the parts in the next few weeks Mal Wood Option 3, valve springs, P/W stage 2 I/c with the K&N Cai, hopefully when I order them the cross over will be completed aswell.. then when the bank balance goes up again I will take it to get the above installed and my injectors and a fuel pump installed and then custom tuned.. Hopefully it all goes well and gets done so I can pick it up the day I get my license back but its not looking good the mrs has just booked a trip to thailand for 10 days in Jan so I have to cough up $2500 2 days after all this work gets completed :banghead2:

got it from ebay scotts rods exhaust's in QLD.. they advertised 3 1/2 inch full system with a smaller dump pipe and cat but I asked for a 4 inch dump and 3 1/2 inch cat and luckily they had em in stock! I got the last 4 inch dump though :banghead2: very happy with it
