rather take the tub off than drop the diff :wasklywabbit:

pretty spot on, although I thought it was up a little, towards passenger side a little, then up a little more, then back a little, then up and off, but I may be wrong lol...

just removing the tub liner would have been fantastic!

LOL @ just removing the plastic.

I wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and so does Fatz and Mr Man.

The entire tub came off, plastic first, then we took the tail lights out, then undid the bolts holding the tray on. Removing the tray is a minimum 3 man job.

If I remember correctly, lift straight up s little, then back a little, then up, then towards the passenger side, then up again. This is all to clear the filling nozzle.

ahem, we? :stirthepot:

Marcus is correct in what he is saying and its quite easy for me to remove the tub seeing I have done these tubs countless times before. Tip for anyone wanting to do it there is a scrivert on either side holding the inner guard to the chassis which needs to be removed prior to tub removal and you need to lift it back up and then to the passenger side as you are lifting it up to clear the fuel filler neck. 4 people would be ideal and make sure you have something to prop the tub off the ground otherwise you will more than most likely damage your skirts and rear bar sitting them on the ground.

It sounds a bit like the....

1. Open beer

2. Look at tub

3. Get second beer

~

18. Open toolbox

19. Drag the missus out of bed to get more beer

No wonder it took so long :stirthepot:

ah I see...

I just drilled out the spot welds and removed the sheet metal panel... then replaced the panel after rustproofing treatment with gal tek screws... not sure if this would work doing an intank pump though... anyone know?

There was, but the bitch was busy undoing bolts on the tub. :msm::pinch::spoton:

That might be so but it doesn't beat the stupidest incident of the day...

Fatz says "Marcus, shouldn't we relieve the fuel pressure before cracking the fuel line off the tank"

Envy-t says "No Adam it will be fine"

I walk over to get some rags because I could see what was going to happen. Next thing Marcus cracks the fuel line and ends up with petrol all over him and is left there holding the fuel line trying to cover it with the rags I brought over as it pisses out fuel due to built up pressure. :gooff:
