groper Member 611 Member For: 18y 2m 28d Posted 05/09/07 12:08 PM Share Posted 05/09/07 12:08 PM I was wondering how to go about temporarily disabling the ABS system for a skid competition coming up... I think I read a while back but cant remember, that if you jack up the car and spin a wheel before turning the key, the car thinks it has a faulty wheel sensor and so switches teh ABS off... can anone confirm if this works? However, now I obviously have no TC & DSC.. Which is fine. But how bad is it drive without ABS? Not track just road drivingNot to mention the 3 new warning lights - The scary red exclamation mark. You'll get an abs and traction control light but neither will work until its re-connected and you still get to keep your speedo. Takes 30secs. Also after roughly 1 min the car went into a limp mode with a lower limiter. Abs is not overly helpfull on dirt tracks with rally tire's.
