:spoton::blush::biggrin: Finally got the T back after nearly 3 weeks in the shop :rant2: and $900 excess later. I broke one light, the grill and dinged the bonnet a tiny bit and they reckon $900, does that sound right. Anyway that's put the modding back a few months which blows but I must admit they did a great job. What sort of excess are yous guy's copping? Cause most people I ask are around $400.

P.S F*#KING Commodores!!!

yeah wouldn't be surprised mate. I got a quote of $300 to fix a small'ish dent in the boot and a 60cm scratch (bastards car key) on the front quater panel. So for you + parts, sounds pretty right. Paints a funny thing, its so easy to get it wrong, so people charge to do it properly.

On the excess front I can't help you. I'm 26, perfect record (for the period that counts anyway), but as car is modified (320+ rwkw), its a just cars jobby. My excess is 2.5k. Cop that!

$900?? Is that all???

After a minor scrape with the bus, nothing broken, they replaced the rear bar, upper and lower, a small body repair, and the tail light cos it had a microscopic mark on it for $3500!!!!!

Crazy stuff indeed, they would have kept the old tail light for the next job and charged it out at a few hundred $$$ as well. Plus $500 excess.

Lucky insurance paid for it, THEIRS!

$400 here, You just have to get some mileage up.

One of the few good things about getting older, cheaper insurance.

I'm 23, fully insured, my excess is NZ$1000...

Sounds like you poor Aussies are being shafted by the insurance companies over there...

Maybe when I move to Brisbane next year I won't get another T!!
