I'm hopeful of a great deal including a dealer throwing a few of the options in for free.2007 Falcon XR6 Turbo BF MkII $42,990 ZF-6 speed auto $ 1,500 XR Sports Leather Trim $ 1,000 Alarm System $ 579 Reverse sensing system $ 563 Bluetooth Kit $ 495 Standard Towpack (1600 kg) $ 512 Carpet Mats XR Logo (4 mats) $ 113 Dashmat $ 62 Mudspats $ 70 Scuff Plates XR Inserts $ 36 Headlamp guards $ 100 XR Fog Lamp Guards $ 55 $48,075 (RRP)Stamp duty + dealer del + 3rd party $ 4,000 (APPROX.) $52,075 Now I have obviously done my sums and a lot of research (including prices) on this. I have included everything that I am keen to get in the package for my personal wants/ needs. My target purchase price is under $45k inclusive of everything above.Could I please get the experienced thoughts and opinions from everyone as to whether you believe getting this XR6T and the features at this price of UNDER $45k is definitely viable, or am I just being silly? Any other recommendations on altering the above list or suggesting purchase prices that you think I should be happy to buy at, will be grateful also! Thanks for the help everyone, happy XR6T motoring!Rambo

Keep in mind that you could probably get an 05-06 Phoon for that price if you hunt around unless your after a brand spanker. Good luck with itDillon

To work out a good price roughly for a start you should be able to get the cost of your on road costs for free. Whether that shows as a dealer discount or shows some accessories for free. The price I got given was about $4500 off the car. But I was wanting a manual. I used to sell new cars for Nissan, there is always a few thousand to play with each car. Most dealers wont give that much discount your best bet is to get a best qoute from one dealer then take that to another dealer to see if they can bet it and so on.Best of luck Just read the rest of your post, $45K would be a huge stretch and wouldnt think you could get that, possibly a manual maybe but certainly not an auto. I think your best price would be around $48,000 ish give or take alittle. Edited 30/08/07 01:57 AM by ashmo

All up cost was $48,700 in the end, drive away - not counting any insurance. This was a novated lease purchase, bought with fleet discounts ($5,000) so that probably explains some of the difference.$52k seems a bit excessive to my mind. But I don't think $45k drive away is realistic for an XR6 turbo unless you have some form of bargaining power, like a dealer you know personally, etc.

If I was in the market for a new car right now I'd jump at that one.

With that sort of money you could buy a carputer that would do satnav and a whole lot more.

You should be able to get your options for under 45k drive away without any problems...I'm pretty sure someone here ordered one very similar for 41k a few weeks ago... Tell the dealer to pull there head in, BF MKII is at the end of the road, if Ford dealerships want to make money between now and Orion then they have to give you a FANTASTIC deal! Resale value is not helped by aftermarket addons, only factory options. I will not be altering this car in any way over its 3-year lease cycle.
