I have a 3 match head sized stone chips in my car, 2 on the drivers door and one on the bonnet.

I can buy the touch up paint from Ford so that's the easy part.

Anyone here able to give some advice on best way to prepare, apply, and finish the job so that it is as close to invisible as possible.

I've already had to patch up my "acid rush".

After paying NZ$26 for the Ford bottle of touch up paint, rather than using the little brush that is attached to the lid I put a rather big dollop of paint on the end of a wooden kebab skewer (a wooden tooth pick would work just as well), let the paint go off a bit (two or three minutes) and then dobbed it on the chip hole until it was slightly proud of the surrounding paint. After leaving it for a couple of days to harden then gave it a good hard rub with a bit of wax on a rag and polished off. All the chips now look pretty good, in fact as soon as you have the colour match the chips look only half as bad as they were before.
