Rebirthing an old thread here, but Thalamus do you know that you speedo is going to be out after 100kmh and your tacho will be out also.

I have done some extensive work on modifying ba/bf clusters of late, which includes fixing speedo/tacho accuracy with fascia changeover, turning on a digital speedo etc. Some require reprogramming of the cluster eeprom while others can be done while in the car.

If you want any more info let me know

Thanks Matt - yeah realised that when putting it together, but I haven't worried about it too much as speedo on mine becomes inaccurate over 120, and I don't do that speed anyway. Never really watch my tacho anyway - I have an auto non-turbo car at the moment!

Even if I don't go ahead and fix it properly, I'm interested in knowing more about it!!!

Thanks

-T.

To change these settings you need to dismantle the cluster, read the eeprom via a serial reader , change a couple of bytes in the eeprom and write it back.

And it took me a good couple of months to sort through alot of the data, and we are only about 1/4 of the way through the cluster alone.
