Hey just a question. I bought a BA 03' XR6T a few weeks ago now and was told at the time that it had been tuned. A friend has since told me that I should have recieved the capa box with the car or else I can not change the tune. I contacted the bloke and asked him about the box and was told that the guy that tuned his car was doing it on the dodgy and was buying one box and using all five lives of the box on different cars. I suppose he was making more money this way. Problem is that the box is not with the car now. I will have to buy a new flash tuner now and have the car tuned but in order to do this do I have to flash the car back to stock before I can upload the new generic tunes off the new box.

Hope I have explained myself properly.

Any help would ba appreciated.

Thanks

Brendan

Maybe the new sniper tune may be the way to go, dont think you need a box for that one, unless of course you want a box.

I think the main problem is the fact that he has no f slot, no factory tune.

If he was to get a new flash box to tune his car, the first time it was plugged into his car, the modified tune (if it has one) would then become his F tune, a tuner could flash a standard tune into the car, but it would not be his f tune.

It could then have another flash box plugged in and then then that tune would become the F tune, in the 2nd box, but it would leave the first box worthless

A ford dealer could reflash it back to stock but would probably charge for it.

The car should be run to see what PSI it is running to see if it has been tuned or not
