well thanks to everyone who has replied. I just want you to know I dont drive my car hard at all. I just like to have the power on tap when needed. I am 36 years old and drive conservatively(compared to you guys I am sure) most of the time so hopefully my transmission and motor wont be affected to much.

I just got my car back for a tune house in sydney. I got a capa flash tuner with full custom tune, a cai, and K&N filter. I was able to get 275kw. Does this sound right. the car goes like a rocket now. I was wondering is that figure to high , as I didnt expect such a great figure. He also gave a full service with full synthetic oil and new spark plugs. He also upgraded the software with typhoon spec software.

Now firstly is this Rear Wheel Kws or Fly wheel. Speaking to Jim at Tune house and others who have been there, I doubt that he would let a car leave there if it was running too lean.

Secondly what are you driving F6 or XR6T?

And finally mate have you got a copy of that print out? I would love to see the torque curve.

its an xr6t and is rear wheel kws. sorry when a meant a tune house I didnt mean the actual place Tune House. I didnt realise there was a place called Tune House. The car was tuned at BTA Motorsports at campsie. Yeah I can post the print out tonight. The torgue curve is not that great as he said I would need to change the exhaust, as the standard exhaust is too restrictive.

Ok that changes things... Mate being one of the older blokes like me you would want to makes sure that

1. The car is not running too lean (this could lead to big problems in the future) and

2. Make sure you are not pushing the stock internals such as the injectors and valve springs to their limit as these will reduce their shelf life and cost you more in the long run.

I am not the most mechanically educated on the forum but this is my view. Owning a BA we don't have the luxury of the stronger bottom end and stronger valve springs like the BF's.

And also Power is like Money, the more you have the more you use ...

when you say to lean what does that mean exactly. as you can tell I am not mechanically minded either. Also these recommendations you suggest would be applicable even if dont drive it hard.

275rwkw with no injectors, no cat and 8psi is a pretty big effort!!

lean means that there is not enough fuel in the cylinder when the car is firing.

heheheh no worries mate. that sounds right. with injectors and cat you would be seeing an easy 275 so that could be your next round of mods.

that afr does sound spot on :spoton:
