Hey guys,

Sorry if this topic has been covered before but I couldnt find anything. Question is can you or does anyone run an EBC on their 6T? All other modified turbocharged cars run them or can run them but its just strange with some of the highly powered ones here I havent yet heard of an EBC installed on one. Ive read about MBC's but not Electronic ones. Do they play with the engine management system or something?

Cheers for your help

Ash :buttonit:

I noticed it says soon to have xr6t in your sig, if you didnt already know.

it wont work just getting a boost controller, you need to edit the software in the cars computer to allow more boost.

yeh the standed electronic boost controller and solinoid does such a good job, there hardly seems a need.

exactly..

However, I have heard one argument.. "I want to be able to control a lower boost without reflashing"..

You know what I say about that.. Dont accelerate as hard :P

I am using a Turbosmart eboost2 but I have a larger turbo and external wastegate and it was easier to tune. For the standard turbo and wastegate, refer blueboost and headsex - not required.

yeah you can run varible boost in each gear as well as rpm based boost mapping, im sure they would be handy features in big HP cars... :wackit:

It can David with a fair bit of friggin around though'.

You can also change the boost at different rpm and/or by elapsed time.
