Just wondering whats the best way to paint your calipers, so it lasts. Luv the brembo look but don't need them at the moment and this is a much cheaper option.

Who's done it and what were your results like?

Cheers Dillon

From experience with my old car (not a T) preperation is important. Make sure you get all the crap and brake dust off first. I used hot soapy water and a wire brush, but some sort of off the shelf product is bound to be around. Buy some heat proof or actual Caliper paint I think VHT or something. I masked up everything I didnt want red, and spray away. Add a few coates allowing time to dry inbetween. Basically follow the instructions on the spray bottle and you should be fine....

The same goes for the hubs on the rotors im assuming?

I want to do mine in black or silver before they start to rust up.

Do you guys paint the whole hub, including the vertical face which goes between the hub and the back of the wheels? (masking up the studs of course)

I Recently spray painted my calipers while upgrading my brakes.

I didnt have to worry about painting the hubs as they are gold plated which helps prevent rust :spoton:

Looks great. How are the Ford stickers holding up? They still stuck on well, or are they likely to come off with a high pressure spray

The ford stickers are doin great. Afterall, they're genuinue from Ford :spoton:

For the paint, I used VHT Brake Caliper paint which I bought from Autobarn for $14.99.

I applied 3 coats with 15minutes intervals, and so far, there are no signs of it

peeling off. :fear (5):
