ZAP No boost, no bottle, just my foot on the throttle! Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 20y 10m 19d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 26/08/07 12:20 AM Share Posted 26/08/07 12:20 AM Mate, What you have done is remove about 60% of the restriction in the factory exhaust. This will cause the car to go into limp mode as the motor will not behave to factory spec and the ECU does not like that.As mentioned above, you either need to restrict the exhaust or Edit the ECU/piggyback. There is no other majic fix. Also removing the CAT is a BIG nono, as the EPA can easily see that it is not there. If someone high flows the cat, they generally gut them so it looks like it is still there. When the cops smell the exhaust or see flames come out the tailpipe, they will slap a $10,000+ fine on you. I had been told that I will have to get it edited now, as I had planed, but just after I took it out I got slaped with a $12,000 GST bill so was hoping somebody out there might know a tempery fix. O well. Looks like I will just have to work harder and earn some more money. cheers.
