Going vintage Rob?

I Always prefer to fly a piper over a Cessna...An Arrow is good, but pricey on maintenance.. retracts and variable pitch prop,

a warrior is too gutless, Id go for an archer, biger motor fared U/C, a good compomise for a decent price.

Flew the little beech today and had one thought..IT NEEDS AN XR6T motor in it..

GUTLESS

Thanks sixfan... I would love a comanche but anything that can climb at over 1500 ft/second is outta my price tag....

The cessna's have a bad reputation cause of the 172's still floating around.. actually cessna has just said the will not gaurentee thier airframe after 20,000 hours flying..

That is equivelant to a million Km's on a car.... How many company's will gaurentee a car body till 1,000,000 km's and some 172's have flown 30 and 40 thousand hours....

The 172 came out in an R version that has better avionics and more importantly a very smooth and upgraded lycoming and advanced lycoming SP motor that are holding there own against the more performance oriantated...

The pipers??? Which one are you talking about ........ and arrow can come under many different disguises, basically a small cost effective motor, but very sad cruise and climb rate........ (EVEN WITH THE GEAR UP)....

I still want a bonanza...!!!!!!!!!!
