Guest Guests Posted 22/08/07 04:20 PM Share Posted 22/08/07 04:20 PM Ok I know it's not the most performance based ride out of the Ford stable but I need a new daily as my corolla just itself. So, what's people's opinions on em? I got a price of $15990 drive away tonight when looking for a black one with manual and bigger wheels. Does that seem like an ok price? If I could afford it I'd go for the XR4 but just can't justify the $$$ at the moment :banghead: Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/37680-fiesta-lx/ Share on other sites

If its the two door, its only a $500 option for the 4dr, hell they may even throw it in. I bought a LX 2006 model, 4dr, 5 spd manual. All stock except for matts/head light protectors and cargo matt. I have done about 40,000k which is more than most and I think they are a great little car. Price wise is that seems pretty good indeed, I paid $17k back then. Recommend the head light and bonnet protectors, it may be dicky to some, but the front bonet height seems to be perfect height for rocks. The car overal I am very happy with, apart from the usual interior rattle here or there but enough whinging and ford finally fixed it. Will trade for focus turbo diesel soon. My real car is similar to yours so the fiesta is my daily driver too. In regards to the bigger wheels, I already pay $370-$400 / tyre for the XR6T so the cheaper the tyre the better, the standard 15's are good for me. Once you run the engine in you will get 600km + out of the 45l tank.We got the second black one to come to WA, the first was a Zetec. Car is just under 3 years old and has clocked up close to 95000kms, at last service they told us we hold the Australian record hahaha. 80% of that was FWY duties when the fiancé still lived at home in Safety Bay and had to travel to Perth for work each day, 600km+ a week.No major dramas with the car other then a few bits and pieces that were done under warranty.Best bit is that car is still on the original factory tyres and also the factory breaks have never been touched. Will need new front pads at 100000km and tyres in about 10000kms. We are thinking about trading it in for a new one, so if you are interested in a cheap used Fiesta send me a PM.I honestly can not say anything bad about the car; it is built a heck of a lot better then a BA Falcon. I have driven other small imports and unless you go for something like a 206 then you won’t buy better I don’t think.Good luck Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/37680-fiesta-lx/#findComment-566971 Share on other sites

Can not recal what dealer, but it was one of the local Perth ones. I like the look of the 3 door more so than the 5 so I'd probably go with that.I know what you mean about expensive tyres for the T... just replaced all four of my 20's rs2000 said: that's fairly standard price at the minute..my local paper has them advertisedat sunford, sunbury for the same price..does that include 15" wheels as well.15's are the standard size but I told them I wanted the XR4 wheels thrown on it XtRmn8 said: 03XR6T, we have a 04 Fiesta LX 3dr 5 speed as our daily and they are great little cars. Not bad considering I get about 350 from the T I agree about the quality, they on all other small cars in their price range Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/37680-fiesta-lx/#findComment-567183 Share on other sites

I do mostly city driving and get a bit 500km so either way they are a great little car. If only it had a 6th gear for those 110-120kmh speed zones. With the whole 3dr v 5dr, consdering its free, just remember that this is just a drive around car that you will probably trade in in 3 years or so and should get a bit more for 5dr. But either way, guy at work has the 3dr zetec and the boss has one too (only person I know who's on 120k+ and drivins a <20k car).
