I have a navman which seems to work ok, and is very slim, my mates got a tom tom with built in 20 gb hard drive which he keeps his mp3 and plugs it into the Aux on the T, but its alot bigger in size.

I bought a Tomtom GO910 a few months back, has MP3, photo, hands free bluetooth, text to speech etc.... fantastic unit, having said that, they have now been discontinued....

It may be worth the wait until an equivelent model is released, in my opinion the extra's are worthwhile, playing the MP3's thru the ipod connection in the car is excellent, it pauses the song to give you directions, meaning you can still have your music at a decent volume and not miss a thing.

The text to speech is also handy, being told the street name to turn into helps in areas where there is two streets close together.....

The hands free works a treat, it was the biggest selling point for me, having a compatible phone (which I dont!!) means the Tomtom will actually read your SMS messages out to you.....

And no....I dont work for Tomtom :bangcomputer:

I bought a Dopod d810 a couple of months ago which is the best thing I ever did. It is a PDA, phone, organizer, camera, internet browser, games console, and since I put Tomtom Navigator 6 on it its a GPS aswell(inbuilt gps). I even have a program on it that does 0-100kmh/0-400m times. It also supports wifi, bluetooth, infrared, 3.5g/hsdpa...

It runs on Windows mobile 6 so there is 1,000,001 programs you can get for it.

Highly recommended!

I have been using TomTom for a couple of years and I would not leave home without it. But it has been droped from their range. I don't drive in the cities much but if I did I would look for a model that is cheap to update the maps.
