Being a PC network engineer, I found that very true and extreamly funny.

As for the video camera, IF I was to buy one today, it would be the 16:9 with 3CCD's and a 60+Gb Hard disk drive.

We got the JVC Everio with a 30gb hard drive.

Unless you're shooting a Hollywood blockbuster, I doubt you'll notice any difference in quality by spending a heap on a flash unit.

As far as the storage issue goes, you have much greater and easier editing options with a hard drive camera, and once you are done, you can burn it to a DVD. No need to fill your PC with un needed files. Also, with external hard drives readily available in anything up to 1TB, you'll have no issues if you want to keep the files for future use.

As far as the Macs go, work at a publishing company and up until a fex years ago we ran Macs for our graphics work. The rest of the office was on PC. The Macs were good stand alone, but on the network they sucked. If a network application was down, the Macs would jam themselves up trying to constantly search and operate the application that was no longer there. You couldn't even rename a file on the server for fear of it crippling the Macs. We switched to all PC in 2003 and haven't looked back. All of the graphics spoftware we use is available on PC and works fine, and we no longer have the frustrating Mac issues. :tease:

I beleive they're much better now, but I won't go back in a hurry.
