I've been looking at the Canons and Sonys but am interested to see what some of you might recommend? Susceptible to vibration and write errors.Hard drives, good but if you fill it you need some where to down load it. Video takes up a lot of hard drive space.DV/HDV Tapes. 60 min of uncompressed video on one small tape, Still the best way to record and store video. When I was doing reserch in to my Cam I found the harddrives still don't have the safety feature in place. If you drop a HD Cam the Cam will sense the drop and cut power to the HD hopefully meaning no impact damage to the data stored on the HD. Main problem is if you are on holidays and can't get to a laptop or pc you are limited to what you have. With HDV just put in another tape an off you go...OzziePS I ended up with a Sony HDV great lense, great steady shot and night shot. Quad core anyone. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/37567-can-you-recommend-a/#findComment-565703 Share on other sites
