Electrical Problem

I think I have an Electrical problem with my car every now and then the car feels like it loses power wont rev past 2500 rpm and today almost sounded like it was gonna back fire its been edited at cv and they looked at it again on friday to try and find the problem retuned it for me run it on the dyno for half an hour seem fine con said my value springs seem good so they seem to think it must be a lose connection somewhere does anybody have any ideas what I should be looking for that could cause these issues my car is a bf xr6t with a six spped auto no mods other than edit

That would be the first thing I'd be doing.

If it doesn't do it with the stock tune then it's got to be edit tune related.

drove around for about an hour with factory program didnt do it problem is even with the flash tune tonight given the car heaps it didnt do it either that's why im thinking its an Electrical problem just not sure what I should be looking for ie which plugs or sensor's could be the cause if any

cheers I booked it in today their gonna have a look at it Wednesday morning the guy on the phone thinks it might be the throttle body , dirty or broken guess ill find out but your right intermittent problems with anything are a pain in the ass

Ford looked at it today and couldnt find any issues

*every now and then when driven in performance mode(note: this is a six speed automatic)

the car will rev out almost sounding like its hit spark cut, with a slight hint of a little back fire.

*Once in a while the car will not rev past 2500 rpm regardless of how far the gas peddle is pushed until foot is taken completely off the gas and re applied, CV have changed the the tune to be saved and the run it on the dino for half and hour with no problems

it has the same problems with factory tune or edit also cv have told me my value springs are fine does any body have any ideas because its really starting to f***n piss me off

Ok, here is my 2 cents. When I was getting my gauges put in I had problems with the grounding of the car. The ground does not seem to go through properly. When I was getting it fixed I found out that the Ford Falcons have problems with the earthing and a couple of the auto electrician advised this is a common problem with the Ford.

I would probably start there. If you know a sparkie or a hobbist, just get a multimeter, set it to ohms and them touch the negative terminal of ya battery to a parts of the car, if there is resistence there is a problem. My car had differences between different parts of the car and engine.

I was told by a couple of auto electrician that the Falcons seem to run a little rich if they are not grounded properly, this could be the reason for the dirty butterflys :tease:

Since I have had me car back from the sparkie, it runs better and even idles better not perfect but a lot better!!!! :shocked:
