Rear Disk Pads Dragging.

my car has a dragging rear brake pad....I think

at slow speed with the window down I can hear a rotating noise coming from the rear of the car. I asked my Dealer to take a look and they claim they lubricated the caliper assy and resolved it..... Unfortunately it is back again.

has anyone else had this and/or know a more permenant solution?

Hi Dave I've noticed it sometimes but haven't worried about it. I guess when someone comes up with a solution I might get it fixed.

I hear the dragging noise as well, doesn't seem to cause any problem though, and the wheel turns freely

Ite the hand brake adjustment Ford has had several go's at fixing it with out any luck, cheack out Hand Brake Adjustment on this forum for more info.

I agree......Handbrake.

Usually its a build up of dust in the H/Brake bore but these cars aren't that old so maybe there is a bit of rust build up that is floating around.

I too have heard a scrapping noise coming from the rear wheel. Only sometimes thou???

But its not a consistant noise on mine, like at low speed you hear a srape scrape scrape every half second or so is this the same as the others and does this mean the rear need machining also??
