blueboost Member 1,204 Member For: 20y 7m 22d Gender: Male Location: Mackay NorthQueensland Posted 15/08/07 02:02 AM Share Posted 15/08/07 02:02 AM sorry to take so long to answer, had a car I was working on here, and that was my full attention untill I finished.ok, as Bryce said, the car has not been on the dyno, but the power would have been only about 280rwks if it was on a xr6 becuase I had to detune it a lot up high becuase of the standed injectors,this mod is based on the isues I came up with while tunig this tery.intakes go through the roof,well intake temp started at 85 degree's f. and buy a simple run to 170k's, it was up to 170 degrees.nothing will make power at that.after water meth, intake started at 85, and by the end it was 95.much like you big intercooler on the xr6t.so then because the water meth, gives you the octane abuility of 115-120 octane.I was able to have it spike to 14psi down low, but with a heap of timing in it and she pulls like a train.this had to happen because I can not get away from the torque controlls coming in when you stall these up. so I had him just nail his foot as the lights change and not stall it.result; slow first 20 ft, but she realy pulled after that,I had him shift at 4000 rpm in first to catch 5000 rpm because I had to roll the power off after that.I done it to a near stock xr6t auto on the weekend, and it ran a 11.9 with a 1.7 60ft. blueboost Member 1,204 Member For: 20y 7m 22d Gender: Male Location: Mackay NorthQueensland Posted 27/08/07 07:18 AM Share Posted 27/08/07 07:18 AM Just a bit of an update on this car.today we put injectors in the tery, and had a bit of a play with a few other things.now I will tell you what happened before the first tune.we tuned it on the road, with a Gtech ss.when we tuned it before, we got it down to a 13.1 at 109 mph,2.2 60ftthen we took it to the drags, the weather was cooler then when we tuned it, it ran 12.9 at 108mph 2.2 60ft at the drags.now this time on the Gtech, same road, she pulled 12.1 at 113mph, middle of the day, 1.81 60ft.time and time again, boy you should feel what a 1.8 60ft feels like in a 2.2 ton tery. will not be drags here for at least 2 weeks, so it will be a long waite to verify this.who said these 6speeds cannot 60ft?this car is stock intercooler stock exhaust, with bung out, water injection, and injectors, and tune. DavidDavid, are you saying you have bypassed the Torque Control?Also thought this thing was running a 'cocktail' of water and (that what shouldn't be named)?? So which is it, straight water or a cocktail?Well done BTW, but I for one sure hope the trans hold together if they start breaking and somebody is dumb enough to try a warrantee claim Ford will wise up and we will all be kissing our warrantee goodbye!
