Hey guys,

I know we all suffer traction issues grr! has anyone looked at or installed the "Racelogic" traction control/launch control system. It is fully adjustable and looks to be a great product. Does anyone know if it is possible to add any of these features with the stock TC system?

Could be worth a look at!

Cheers, Joel

I havnt looked at that one but how about this for a cheap alternative.

from gizzmo all you need is a modulator box to send tach signal to the interface from the crank trigger. you can hold your foot flat and missfire the coils fueling up the turbo at 3000 rpm in neutral then launch with boost in a manual.....by by cv shafts. and you get a shift light too.

Fully adjustable launch control

Adaptive auto detect software

Interface for 1-6 coil application

Fuzzy Logic technology

Sequentially induced misfire

Technology

Gizzmo's launch Interface integrates with the Gizzmo Tach Recall

Shiftlight to enable the fully adjustable launch control function. The launch control function induces sequential misfire events at the desired rpm set by the user.

In a turbo application, having the throttle open while inducing misfire

increase the velocity and density of exhaust gases, allowing the turbo to spool up and generate boost with load. This results in boost being

generated before launching and therefore allowing a vehicle to launch with considerably more power. The ignition cut is clutch activated

allowing flat changing (the ability to change gear without removing your foot from the throttle). With the clutch engaged the rpm will pull back to the launch rpm previously set by the user in order to avoid over reving, this results in the vehicle not coming off boost while moving through the gears.

Launch control can benefit natural aspirated cars by giving a consistent launch rpm for best results every time, and enable quicker gear changes through flat changing.

Compatible Vehicles:

All Nissans

All Subaru’s

All Mazda’s accept Rotaries

All Honda’s

All Mitsubishi’s

The Rules:

Typically the launch interface will work on any car that has an Igniter that …

A) is triggered via the ECU

B) is not inside of the ECU

C) have not got a feedback system to the ECU e.g.(Toyota)

D) have not got a ignition control box that encompasses the igniter e.g.(Expensive Daewoo Late model camira V6’s)

Vehicles known that are not compatible

All Expensive Daewoo V6’s

All Toyota’s

All Diesels

This sounds like HALTECs anti-lag system that they have out for manual cars. with the haltec anti-lag it allows you in a manual (to have you car in 1st gear with clutch in) to rev the car say 5000 6000rpm for example and have full boost with the clutch in/neutral.

I remember the Unichip can do launch control and flat shifting same as this Gizzmo device. I looked into it ages ago when I had a 4 banger hot hatch. I wonder if anyone here had these features on their T when Unichips were all the rage before the edit??
