T56 From A Xr8 To Xr6t Compatable?

There is currently a T56 from a Xr8 on auction at eBay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-2006-BF-6-Spee...1QQcmdZViewItem can anyone advise if this gear box can be installed, with modifications, into a Turbo Falcon?

afaik V8 boxes have a course input spline and t6 boxes have a fine spline. Dont know about ratio differences tho...

bellhousing would be different.

That is an auto not a manual aswell

also the xr8s box is longer to acommodate for the shorter motor as well.. from memory its about 80-100mm.. so it wont fit even if you change the bellhousing

Mate you do realize that the box pictured is a zf 6 speed auto not a tremec 6 speed manual don't you?

Yes I am, I just need clarification if a T56 from a XR8 is compatible, that's all.

take it from some one who bought a T56 (6speed Manual) off a ba xr8 that it doesnt fit!.. the xr8 box is longer as well as the bellhousing being different..

and then theres the cog ratios they are different too.
