MUZ580 Member 448 Member For: 19y 1m 23d Gender: Male Location: Manly - Sydney Posted 31/07/07 11:37 PM Share Posted 31/07/07 11:37 PM Just wanted to post pictures of my new mods which include a Process West Cooler and intake with K&N and some 3 inch piping from the cooler to the throttle body.The pipework includes a 25mm outlet for the turbosmart kompact BOV which I have plumbed up so it vents 100% Atmo (which is also for sale) and the hose for the MAP/boost sensor. I wasn't sure what part I had to cut out for the intake and we ended up cutting out way too much and butchering it a fair bit. Lucky it is I hidden by the front bar! It was also a bit tricky to get the right fit under the battery tray and we had to "persuade" it a little with some multi-grips so it would fit. The end result is a jump of over 50rwkw from 280 to 330 with the tune from C&V. The car feels really strong now and will turn the tyres right through to 3rd gear. Have to say thanks to Kevin at Process West, Dalsey - cole trickle for the advice, Chris - RAP1D for the pipework and my brother Mathew for the help with the install. I give the T5 box till tonight at WSID to blow, if not it will happen very shortly and a new T56 will go in. The turbo flutter when the BOV wasn't connected was so loud it was annoying. I guess if you like that stuff it would sound pretty cool. Throttle response is improved but not to the point I would brag about it, more the power through the entire rev-range. Yep RAP1D did all the pipework from the cooler to the TB. 3inch with outlets for the MAP sensor and BOV. Even got it polished for a bit of bling. I couldnt wait for Kev to release his section, I'm too impatient and I wanted to remove the whole crossover part of the factory induction set-up at one time. I just used a pair of tin snips and multi-grips, the metal cuts quite easily.
