If I have visitors over and they try to park in front of my house he gets out of the car and tells them to move. I thought this was BS but a cop car pulled up the other day and I was talking to the speed camera operator and and policeman who confirmed that he can ask us to move.

They do detect the traffic both directions too Fats.

pfft what was the mofo cops reasoning for getting you to move??? is this directly out the front of your house on your side of the road?? surely they cant do that sh*t??

My mates dad is one of those revenue raising guys..... He gives us the heads up sometimes when we're goin out... If I remember correctly every month he gets a paper sorta like a roster of what streets to set up at and times etc....

I think you should sending out a group email of that particular paper :stirthepot:

up here in QLD where I live, the cameras are always taking the picture from behind. A friend of mine said they were not allowed to go front on anymore due to privacy issues. Such as if you get a ticket in the mail and the picture shows the sexy blonde in your front passenger seat that's not your wife or GF.... imagine the sh*t hit the fan when your wife sees it... even though your innocent, she was just a work collegue getting a lift home coz her car broke down etc... honest I swear honey!

bet the polllies got done a few time themselves...

so yeah, I NEVER see them going front on anymore...

Nah, they detect from either direction.

I know.

The cops have been using that setup for over 2 years now in VIC. The locations of mobile speed trap sites, red light & speed cameras on intersections are all made available to the public.

Check out this URL for the latest PDF on locations ;)

Forgot to mention this is VIC only

It would be interesting to see a rundown of that list of where the dual lane straight stretches of road are and those that have been done for 5k's over....

You can always spot them because they park in typical places on the road and are always the first car in a line of parked cars. Oncoming is easy to spot because you look for a different position front number plate, then I look for driving lights and radar bar thing.

Same direction I look for the bloke in the seat or the aerials. I have seen a few of those Mitsi things and thought they were old models?

Public road they cant tell you to move your car nor can a cop unless the side of the road is blocked due to road work or similiar.

If I were you I would park infront of him everytime he was there, so he would have to move to another spot away from the bottom of a hill those thieving scum bags!!
