Unlike other states we get no warning signs that there is a camera present and the units mounted to the cars are getting sneakier by the day.I have a speed camera car across the road from my house a least a few times a week. Here is a pic of the latest vehicle they are using. The driving lights are actually the flash for the camera and strobe when it is taking a photo. The radar unit is mounted in the grill. He is averaging 5 cars a minute at the moment on a down hill piece of road.It is getting very hard to spot them now!Sorry about the size of photo, I needed a decent res to show the details. But it was on a Light blue Toyota Corolla wagon and he was parked facing us. So it looks like the cameras have the technology to detect the speed of approaching vehicles, this is first time I have seen it. But I have a salute as I drove past. One shows a positive number and the other shows a negative number. WA has had up until this year only used cameras facing approaching traffic, but they have recently turned them around to enable them to be better hidden and to catch speeding motorbikes

I thought this was BS but a cop car pulled up the other day and I was talking to the speed camera operator and and policeman who confirmed that he can ask us to move. They do detect the traffic both directions too Fats.
