Photoblocker Spray?

I still have a couple of cans in the garage.

You can have one if you want, but I can assure you IT DOES NOT WORK.

Firstly modern number plates have a very think clear coating that stops the spray being effective.

Secondly most speed cameras use infrared flashes that are very difficult to over expose, which is what this spray is meant to do.

I tested the spray and detected no difference with digital cameras.

IF you want to defeat speed cameras, buy a consealed radar detector and take a colour photocopy of the front and back numberplates.

Speed cameras rely on the numberplate being reflective, photocopying them will remove any reflective effect.

I do not recommend any of the above ideas, it is just what I have read online as to what works. Being caught with tampered numberplates is a VERY serious offence, as is the Radar detector in all but W.A.

When you say photocopy the numberplates, do you mean that you just copy them and it disrupts the clear coat or copy them then stick the copy over the original plate?

I'm fairly certain he means using the colour photocopy as your actual licence plate.

Whats even better though, is to create a new plate which is entirely made of the reflective material (even the black letters are reflective). This way the entire surface will be one giant white square.

My mate had a friend once that worked at 3M or somewhere and he could get these made up.. :)

Copy and laminate and replace the numberplates.

I saw a TV show that tested all those novelty items out, the only thing that worked was placing a mirror the size of the ute tailgate on the back of the car, so when the multinova flashed there was too much reflection to make out the number plate. So I wouldn't waste your money. I always liked the idea of cutting away the spoiler behind the number plate and mounting the numberplate to a hinge at the top. I would even go as far as to put a magnet strip on the bottom and attach a bit of metal to just underneath the numberplate on the spoiler so it held it in place a slow speeds. Now that would be cool.

I saw a Skyline once with something similar to this, I'm not sure if it was a manual trigger or hooked up to his rpm/speed but when he stalled it up a the lights his number plate folded back up under so you could not see it all, bloody Ingenious! But if the cops caught ya

Radar detectors have no effect on fixed speed cameras and are nowadays rendered useless with the advent of Lidar and mobile radar.

IB, Fixed speed cameras are easy to defeat with the many GPS device as they are freely available with the co-ordinates of cameras.

Mobile cameras and mobile radar are easy to detect with a RD, in Victoria they mainly used hidden cameras that use Radar.

LIDAR is a different story as you need to jam it, because detectors will only tell you that you will be getting a ticket.

There are many new jamming products on the market that are easily able to defeat our outdated Prolaser III (NSW) guns.

I am all for POLICE enforcement of speeding, but they need to be visable and not rely on sCameras to "appear" to be enforcing speed, all they are doing is being armed tax collectors.
