It's already started.

My local dealer has a black BAII and a blue BF, both low ks. The BF has a ZF and only 4,000ks on it. Last week they were asking $53 for the BF, this week it's down to $49.

If a dealer has dropped this much, then you know there's something that's made them drop.

Personally, I wouldn't be getting a new Falcon with a new model coming out. If it was just a minor change (BF to BFII) it wouldn't matter.

Steve

I'm thinking our 05 Phoon will be worth something in the high $30's with around 50 thousand k's on the meter when the new model comes out.

We will look at the new Orion Phoon after 6 months of it's release just to see how many problems it has as we all know new models have the little problems maybe wait till the mk 11.

Until the edit comes out for the new 08 ford at least ours will flog the hell out of it. :spit:

Does anyone know if the edit will be available on the orion's when they come out?

Hi all,

I think there's seriously good value in getting the last of the BA/F series Falcons.

We bought new a series one BA XR6T in Jan 2003, whilst it was nice at the time to have the brand new model it wasn't long before the gremlins started causing havoc and we had some irritating quality control issues to sort. I won't go into details however had the car towed 3 times...........

To fords credit they fixed everything under warranty however it was very annoying at the time and tainted my "Ford flag" bias considerably.

We now have a BF series II XR6T and the difference in build quality to the series one BA XR6T is very noticeable. We were initially reluctant to consider the BF series Falcon when re leasing however once we test drove it the improvements were instantly obvious. Begs the question, why did it take ford 4 years to get this current shape Falcon right? Needless to say the next Falcon we get will be the last version/series of the Orion.

The way I see it buying the last make or build of a series you save $$$ plus get bonus features with the least quality control issues.

Cheers
