I have a sunroof so not sure if there would be room? Back seat sounds complicated (expensive) and the front would be too far I think (but I'm willing to explore those scenarios).I have a 2003 model if it makes a difference. If someone has had this done, what DVD player did you get (Ford supplied?) and at what cost? Thanks in advance,James Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/36952-retro-fit-dvd-player/ Share on other sites
Guest newl Guests Posted 26/07/07 02:14 AM Share Posted 26/07/07 02:14 AM Installed permanently or temporarily? The latter is easy as you can find fairly cheap kits that use screens that just hang on the head rests and the unit(s) plug into the 12V source making them portable from vehicle to vehicle and can also be removed for added security (out of sight, out of mind for most thieves). I was thinking permanently but I guess I could look at the temp option. I guess it depends on how difficult the permanent option is.Cheers,James Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/36952-retro-fit-dvd-player/#findComment-558538 Share on other sites

One screen has the dvd player in it. (this screen filps up and the dvd goes in behind) and the other screen just runs off that dvd. So all is required is to put in the headrests run some power to them then run a cable for the dvd unit to the other unit. It is about 700 for the pair. They also have extra video and audio out so you could play it on you front screen too if you had a converter. I havent got them myself but have done a bit of research and people that I have spoken to seem happy with them. Not to sure if it is still for sale but you could have a look in the for sale thread Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/36952-retro-fit-dvd-player/#findComment-558600 Share on other sites
