20" Front Tyres

Howdy all,

I've been to numerous tyre places today looking for some 225/35R20's to go on the front of the T but can't find hardly anything. The only companies that seem to make this size are the lower quality type, such as nankang.

Out of the 3 shops I went to, I ended up with these choices:

- Nankang NS2

- Roadstone ???

- Arrow N3000

As you can see they're all :stirthepot: so my question is what are people with 20's running on the front? There has to be some sort of decent tyre that will fit???

Also, are Kumho ecsta KU31's in 245/35R20 gonna grip on the rear with over 300rwkw? I've been offered 2 of them brand new for $275 each which is too good to resist :tonguepoke:

Ok no worries :spoton:

I'm not that fussed about the rears cause I have alot more choice. I was mainly after opinions on the fronts.

What are you using on the rear at the moment? I was thinking about TOYO proxes 4's but not sure if they'll handle the power either?

I'd look for something better than Falkens for grip... the fronts are great on hard corners, but on boost grip isnt there, just like the kumos, brigdstones... Ive chewed 4 sets of rears in 12 months

Yeah I got Falken 452s on 20's on a Typhoon. Good front tyre for precision and feedback. But after about 5,000km (approx.) the rears started to loose a little bit of lateral adhesion. After 17,000 km the fronts still feel good (65% of tread left). The rears won't last 'till the next service.

try the TOYO TPG(?) I have a friend who uses them on his GT making 290 something rwkw, says they are alot better in a straight line than the Proxy's, as these were created for drifting basically

Sorry, forgot to ad that these are in 18's, don't know if you can get them in 20's, there really isn't a fantastic 20" tyre for 300rwkw, they are too thin IMO
