HI PSI Member 1,589 Member For: 19y 22d Gender: Male Location: Central Queensland Posted 24/03/10 01:57 AM Share Posted 24/03/10 01:57 AM I purchased a new Motorcraft filter from Fraud the other day.. $31 and the f*cker leaked.. No matter how many times I fitted it, there was a leak coming from the connection through the thread... All of this on a Saterday morning.. 50 Km's to the dealership from home... Then had to go through a log drawn out claim process that took a week.... They even wanted my Km reading from my car.... fro a replacement filter.... Go figure..... WANKERS !!!!!!! Went down and bought a Ryco Z373 from supa cheap, $29 NZD.One on my ute was exactly the same Ryco filter but had a ford service part sticker on it .Ford part number ; AFG55. Went for short trip across town and seemed a tad smoother.Idle used to hunt a bit when cold at start up too. Will see how it goes in morning.cheers oh by the way , took about 10mins, no leaks !!!!!! seduced Need more power. Now taking donations. Member 753 Member For: 16y 3m 20d Gender: Male Posted 27/05/10 11:44 PM Share Posted 27/05/10 11:44 PM Stazza, You can disconnect the fuel pipe from the tank (its real easy, just follow it back, you'll see what I mean) and pull the filter with the pipe out. Once out, put the nut in a benchvice and unscrew the filter straight off.
