Chaps, after a quick scan using the search I couldn't find what I was looking for. I trying to find out if I can keep my existing street tune in the flash box and store another tuners tune in a different slot....and a different tuners tune again in the other slot. Is this possible, or does the tuner have to reset the box before he can load his tunes?

Your advice would be appreciated. :spoton:

You get one factory tune slot which is automatically downloaded when you first plug a new edit box into a car. You then get three "slots" for three different tunes.

They can be saved to by different tuners... They can also be overwritten.

Get slot one and slot two filled with two different tunes and then save slot three for a Tunehouse tune... You will not regret it!

Thanks for that. I've already got a great tune from Simon (XFT) which I don't want to lose, but I wouldn't mind trying few others. Gentech are boning up at Nizpro this weekend and I thought I might try them on Monday, but I didn't want to lose my current tune. Seeing the great results coming out of Tunehouse I think a trip to Sydney is definitely on the cards too.

Rather than spend time and money playing around with 3 tunes and tuners et al, wouldn't it make more sense on getting one fantastic tune and drive accordingly / to the conditions?

Not in my view. My current fantastic tune was done in Perth at a altitude of around 50' above sea level. I live in a place that is around 1600' above sea level. I want to see if there is much difference in doing a tune where I live, and see how a different tuner tackles getting grunt out of the beast.

Knowledge grows on how to best use the edit also. I figure that getting a tune done every now and then will capture that growth in knowledge and ensure I'm getting the best out of my car. Each one to their own.

yep, I agree mate.. I too have thought about getting another tune, just to see how it drives, and how different it might be. There's probably a couple of shops around canberra worth giving a shot now, but it'll be good to see a few more runs on the board.

Jimmy, Gentech are in Melbourne at Nizpro this week end. It's going on their dyno on Monday.....but I want to make sure I keep Simon's tune in the box.

Tunehouse can simulate different altitudes in their new dyno facility. This might help you setup the car better for your area.

Jim at Tunehouse tunes like no other tuner and will transform the car to deliver its true potential. He is not the cheapest but worth every cent.

Awesome facility as opposed to a workshp. The place is state of the art :buttrock:
