I luv it, luv it, luv it.

I was really tempted to get outa the Mazza and into another T on a "end of financial year" deal that would have lost me more money yet again.

But now I'm gunna wait till next year.

Did I tell youse that I luv it?

320KW : by 5.4 litres = 59Kw per Litre ?

A BA Turbo is 60Kw per litre.

BMW M3 and M5 makes about 77Kw per litre.

This from a 1950's Car ! 60KW per Litre ! with Compression Ratio 8.55:1

First with fuel injection

300sl-roadster.jpg

1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster.

This car is owned by Reza of Carlsbad, CA. The engine, canted at a fifty-degree angle to the left to allow for a lower hoodline, was the same 3.0 liter straight-6 as the regular four-door 300 but with a Bosch mechanical fuel injection system that more than doubled its power from 86 kW (115 hp) in its original carbureted trim to 180 kW (240 hp) at 6100 rpm. This new injection system, a first in any gasoline-powered car (apart from the rather small Gutbrod where the Mercedes engineers had to work after the war), allowed a top speed of up to 260 km/h (161 mph) depending on gear ratio (several options were available), making the 300SL the fastest production car of its time
