Hi guys; well the Typhoon will be getting picked up tonight and iam already thinking about mods.

Going to Melbourne to see Nizpro is still an option but after looking at what KPM has to offer I may just get it tuned here, not sure yet.

At this stage iam thinking of the following mods

Car is a 6 speed auto BFII Typhoon

3.5 inch dump and high flow cat combo

59lb injectors

Custom edit tune.

I have worked out I could get this work done locally for around $2700 bucks.

What sort of power should I expect from a KPM tune? I hope for around the 320RWKW mark.

Any suggestions and advice would be sweet as, should I do the dump and cat or just injectors and tune? really do want over 300 at the wheels not just you know 298.5 or something like that.

Thanks guys

Put some kays on it first. The ute got it's birthday after circa 2500km's and the removal of the mineral oil.

Without a change of the front mount, I doubt 300rwkw would be reached. Even if it were to, the extra load on the engine isn't really advisable.

Get a free-flowing kit like Kevin's and you will be laughing. With that, and the mods you've already mentioned, the ute makes 306 @ only 10 psi.

Best of luck with the car, and enjoy its transformation over the modifications.

As mentioned above I would do

Process West intercooler I believe its $1250.00 from memory

Siemens Deka 60lb Injectors $435 I think KPM charge $85 to fit them ( http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=36715 )

Metal Cat 3.5 inch around $300

Edit & custom tune

Thanks guys;

So you guys recon a cooler will be needed also?

Hmm.. well how much power you think I would get just with the listed mods?

Maybe what 290RWKS, 285ish

Do yourself, and your wallet a favour, and go see Bruce Heinrich Tuning down south. For around $1,800 you will get 315 - 320 RWKW and this includes a new flash tuner & custom tune. You dont need to spend big bucks on intercoolers and fancy plumbing unless you are after massive RWKW. The standard rim / tyre combo can't take mutch past 280 RWKW anyway.

I have recently been in two F6's with this set up in them and they are F**ken awsome :pooh: smooth, quite, and capable of blowing any commonwhore into the weeds. :B):

Include a filter and Walbro pump and you should be fine for 320rwkw. At this power level an after market cooler is not needed in the F6 unless you're doing track work or giving it a number of runs in quick succession.
