Is this when you are stationary and give a bit of a boot? Sometimes mine does drop the revs to the point where I think I might stall... I don't know if this is normal aswell mine is a xr6 NA 06 model so if anyone has any ideas I'm interested too... I'm no expert but I narrowed it down to the electronic throttle playin silly buggers

it happens after I give it a run then say stop at a set of lights. mine also goes so low it shutters and has stalled twice in the week that ive had it. I spoke to ford and they think it could be the cai but cant really explain how that would effect it?

I don think cai does jack to cars basic running first up dont talk to ford find a good ford tuner mechanic in your area and talk to them

but yeh clean thottle body first and dont spray the cleaner straight down the body either spray a rag and wipe it out or remove it and clean it I have seen some real nasty manifold backfires from mates sprayin throttle cleaner into body and manifold

When the engine is off put your finger in the throttle body to open it up and spray. It will close once released. Then start it and it will stutter bad trying to run on the cleaner and after a few seconds slowly increase throttle a little then it should run smooth. No backfires from me.

Repeat if needed and all good after that.

I had the same problem, drive then come to a stop and it surges then once at a complete stop it comes level then after 10 secs it either tries to stall or stalls.

Mine has been great ever since.

Cant hurt to try just dont do it while its running.

Cheers

Adrian

It is a common problem, and it usually takes a TB clean. Sometimes it needs a reflash/update (depending on when it was last done)

Mine hasn't done it since I got an edit
