The time has come to put some new boots on the T... But as usual all tyre shops just try to sell their house brand etc etc.

What tyres are people happy with? And approx what price should I expect to pay?

Thanks for your help.

You will not find a better gripping quiter tyre than the Michelin Pilot Preceda 2 for that size. If you want a better tyre you need to upgrade to 18" wheels.

They wear about the same as the standard dunlops, only they perform 10x better and are 10x quieter.

Cheap too, about $230 a corner.

I just got some Yokohama C Drives and they seem to go very well on the wet roads we have had in Melbourne and seemed pretty quite on the run to Colac the other week.

Dunno about wear as they have only been on for less than 1000k's

At $240 per tyre they seem like good value so far.

I need more grip too. The standard dunlop sp3000a are spinning like crazy(310rwkws) I'm running 235/45 R17. The local beaurepaires dealer thought either dunlop sport maxx or goodyear f1 GSD3. both priced @ $265 ea Any thoughts would be appreciated. Double banger post Has anyone tried toyo proxes r spec?

Just trying out the Dunny sport max, will let you know how they go.

Tried Maxxis Z1's but they struggle to keep 260kw in check, great in the wet thou
