That looks good dude. That's one thing I have noticed about the stock cooler. It's not centre'd. I dunno why they didn't line it up properly.

Do you mind if I ask how much that cooler set you back roughly?

$850+ postage.

3 hours of my time + $250 FOR A Retune.

The stage 2 process west cooler replaces that dodgy, under-headlight return pipe

That cooler is ~ 1150 + postage I think.. its on my list of things to do!

I thought that the stage 2 kit came with the cooler and a 2nd CAI. Isn't that what the pod behind the fog lights is? Or is that for something completely different?

The stage 2 comes with that plumbing mentioned. You can get an intake that goes under the headlight straight to the turbo (ie. replaces airbox on passenger side). I forget how much that is (~350+post). You then can almost get rid of the cross over.

Kevin said, in another thread, that he was working on a short bit of pipe to link the stg.2 kit to the throttle body, which would mean the crossover can be removed completely. If I had the funds for mods id be getting that setup for sure!

mmMMmm Interesting. It sounds like I am about to spend a wole bunch of cash on this car.

I might just sell it and buy a new one with this stuff already done. Only, every XR6T I consider buying is in Sydney!

Do you think buying 2nd hand parts is a good idea? eg - x-forxce exhaust, intercooler, flash box. That might save me some cash.

Hey I have one of the Monza coolers installed in my car and it is worth the money I paid for it. There are a number of different stories going round on relation to power but I would say if your not looking much over the 300rwkw mark then you will be more than happy with the cooler. Here is a pick of the cooler installed on my car.
