I'm looking to pick up an intercooler, probably a wog cooler. Something cheap and something that doesn't need new pipework to install. If anyone has done this can you please post picks of what it looks like installed? Also if possible rough pricing and effort required for installation would be a great help. Thanks everyone, I look forward to seeing some awesome pics. PEACE!

(getting airflow at light loads to cool down the heatsoak out of the plenum)the values were recorded what the absolute coldest was1) process west got down to 65F, quite easily, with light acceleration bringing it to 70F2) darrens rajab one had trouble keeping in the 60's, and averaged 72F3) forcedxr6's one was high 70's low 80's4) mine got down to 58F. but it was happy at 63F when crusing (without the higher rpm, this could be due to the nizpro plenum not heat soaking as much as the std plenum)next part of each test was standing start to the speed limit.cole + forced were running 13psi, and mine and darrens's running 16psi1) cole's reached 80F, and quickly dropped back down to mid 70F's, and then a little later 66F2) darrens, starting higher already at 72, after a WOT run to speed limit, brought it upto approx 95F, which rather surprised me to say the least3) forcedxr6's also starting higher in the 80's, rose to 110F (laptop battery cut out at this point)4) I found mind standard had approx 63F, went to 68F (kinda surprised at this, we done repeated standard WOT runs, and the highest we got it was to 72F !!)Keeping in mind, More boost = more heatAlthough there was no wog cooler in those tests, I did log FatTony's doing the similar kinda tests with his F6 cooler.lowest we could get was similar to forcedxr6, in the high 80's, and after a WOT run, it was 120F+In conclusion These aint science lab accredited results. Just the same test done on 4 different coolers on the same cold winter nigth we have had the last few months.. (the best time to test a cooler.. when the air is as cold as possible.. sure the results would be different during the daytime, but would make the results worse)Forcedxr6 now has a process west cooler, and as well as it cooling better, it also flows better than what he had as I had to lower the boost's duty cycle at 3500rpm, rest of the RPM was fine as close loop was controlling it down from the duty cycle forward feed table.Fat Tony also has a process west stg2 cooler, and is still awaiting a good time to see me for a retune as it also boost spikes higher when boost comes in indicating it also flows better than the F6 cooler. However, in saying all this. If you are on a tight budget, a wog cooler is a cheap upgrade from the standard cooler. but dont expect miracles from it.danny Edited 16/07/07 04:24 AM by Headsex
